Tom mount -- thickness of hex post needed
Hey guys! Does anyone recognize the thickness in mm of the tom mounting rods for the M Birch? I have searched on this forum and on the Mapex website to no avail. If I try to measure it myself with a ruler, I can't get an conscientious reading. I'm thinking about getting an add-on 16" tom (ebay) and can't afford a TS550, and can't find one on ebay for cheap. But there are other brands of coupled tom stands that may be compatible that are selling for like $40 or so. I am a hobbyist and can't afford much.
Also, I know that Mapex has the hex type rod so I may have to go with a marginally smaller rod to make it fit. And forget about taking the tom into a drum shop around here to test rod sizes. They don't have much in this area!
Thanks for you help and view.
